Are you ready for a relationship—or are you just tired of being alone?

There is a difference.

Sometimes we don’t miss a person. We miss having someone.

Someone to call at night.
Someone who asks how our day went.
Someone to attend weddings with.
Someone to send the random picture to.
Someone whose name makes the phone lighting up feel different.

And when loneliness has lasted long enough, attention can begin to feel like compatibility.

Someone shows interest and we overlook what would normally concern us.

We call inconsistency “potential.”

We call emotional dependence “connection.”

We call chemistry “compatibility.”

And sometimes we call the fear of starting over love.

Here’s the uncomfortable question:

If you were completely content being single right now, would you still choose the person you’re considering?

Not because you’re getting older.

Not because your friends are getting married.

Not because your family keeps asking questions.

Not because you don’t want to start again.

Not because being wanted feels good.

Would you still choose them?

Sit with that for a moment.

❤️ = Yes, I would.
🤔 = This made me think.
💔 = I may have stayed because I was afraid of being alone.

Be candid. Even if only with yourself
