Daniel and Temi have been dating for six months.
The chemistry is strong.
Their faith aligns.
They laugh together.
Their families know about the relationship.
They’ve even started talking about marriage.
But there is one problem.
Whenever Temi tries to discuss something Daniel has done that hurt her, Daniel becomes uncomfortable.
He’ll say:
“Why do you always want to make everything serious? Can’t we just be happy?”
So Temi drops it.
They laugh again.
They go back to normal.
Everything looks peaceful.
But nothing actually gets resolved.
And now Temi is wondering:
“If we can’t have difficult conversations while dating, what happens when we’re married?”
Here’s the question:
Can someone be a genuinely good person—and still be emotionally unprepared for marriage?
And perhaps the harder question:
_
Is a relationship really peaceful if peace only exists because one person has learned to keep quiet?_
❤️ = I would address it and give them an opportunity to grow
🤔 = This made me think differently about “peace”
🚩 = I would consider this a serious red flag
Be candid. What would you do?
